What is the Battle of Magicians?

Information regarding COVID-19

Dear Magic Enthusiast,

Known as the FUN convention, each year the Battle of Magicians features top notch talent and some incredible surprises.

These three short days happen from planning and coordinating for almost a year. We look forward to it and know that you get excited about it as well!

We want to let you know about some new-on-the-scene magicians here in Ohio. Governor Mike DeWine and Director of Health, Amy Acton, MD have been working tirelessly to help make COVID-19 disappear! (Or at least, keep it at bay by flattening the curve.)

In these never before seen times, we hope and pray that you and your families are safe and healthy!

Although we were bummed to have to postpone the Battle, it has been heartening to see so many magicians join together online to share their gifts and do good for others.

Some have requested that their registration be carried forward to next year. Others have asked for a refund. We're here to serve you, so whichever you prefer is fine. Until we see each other, take care of yourselves, your families, and your loved ones!

In the meantime, we hope the following sincerely facitious suggestions bring a smile to your face:

  • Please make sure to sanitize your magic wands before use. Disinfecting wipes are available in a variety with lovely scents. Prior to purchase, inspect the product label to ensure the wipes are compatible with woffle dust.

  • Due to market conditions, the magic dealers have placed a strict purchasing limit of 52 cards per deck. Please don't ask them to violate this.

  • Please don't waste precious toilet paper by throwing it over someone's head. If you have a spare roll, do something useful with it... like trading it for a couple bricks of Gold Venexianas or White Centurions.

If you have any questions or just want to say, "Hi", please give us a call at the Battle Headquarters at 330-494-2623!
